I purchased the Hayward W3AQR3 Aquarite Chlorine Generator and the t-3 cell failed after 1 pool season running the pump at 80% 8hrs daily. Can I replace the cell with a T-15? My pool is 15,000 gallons
The cell is too small. My old unit was a T-15 that failed so I had to buy a new controller and cell combo and let the guy at Leslie's convince me T-3 was the right one. It's not. Terrible performance. I bought a generic cell from Leslie's called Rightfit T-15 and although it is reading properly the FAC is very low. I know the unit is under warranty buy the warranty company said that it would cost $195 to come out and even if the cell was covered Hayward doesn't cover labor for this controller and salt cell. Seems a waste but I need to fix this issue. Salt level is 2900 verified independently and all other levels are in range.
