I have a Hayward Goldline TurboCell T-CELL-15 installed in December 2020. My system states "Chlorinator Off Test Salt Level," but I've tested the salt level at 4000 ppm using the Taylor K-1766 Sodium Chloride Drop Test.
I've cleaned the cell with a muriatic acid solution (1 part acid to 3 parts water) and reinstalled it, but the error persists. I installed a bypass dummy cell and placed the salt cell on the Hayward cell stand, observing it producing chlorine gas for about a minute before shutting off.
Attached are pictures of the diagnostic menu readings and the salt cell.
Considering the unit is producing chlorine gas and is about 3 years and 6 months old, is there anything else I can troubleshoot before ordering a new salt cell?
