Hayward SWCG Salinity

Hayward SWG cells do not have a conductivity sensor. They use volts and amps to calculate a salinity. The calculations can be thrown off by water temperature as higher water temperature draws more amps and it reads higher salt.

Use a salt drop test to determine your actual salt level.

In my case, I keep the water temperature at 33 degrees in winter.
In the SWG cell, it comes out as 3000, but can it actually be lower?

yes, you need to actually measure the salt using a drop test like the Taylor K-1766.
