Unboxing my side mount 30” Hayward sand filter today and I noticed something odd. The laterals manifold is angled (see pic) One side of the laterals are almost touching the tank. Is this a problem? If it is, how do I fix it?

While the Owners Manual is clear to point out other things to watch for, centering the lateral assembly at the bottom isn't one of them. Does look odd though right? The Parts List for the S310 series do come with an angled downward elbow though, so I suspect that's why it looks pushed over a bit. Not really sure that angle was needed. Assuming you have the side mount MPV inserted properly, probably not a big deal if it's not perfectly centered. Have you started filling? I wonder if any other 310 owners had the same experience.
