Hayward salt cell discolouration inside

This is about 3-4 months old cell I just took off to clean and store inside for winter. I just yellowish Color on the inside plastic. Is his normal or a bad sign?

I don’t remember if those lines you see there were there when I installed or something is melting that plastic?

Looks like iron staining.

Wipe it down with a solution of vitamin C and see if the stain lifts.

Ok, will do that tomorrow and report back. I don’t have a pass through pipe so input it back so no mice and stuff get in the plumbing.

I plan to clean it with 4:1 part water Muriatic acid.

Question: if I don’t see any calcium build up in there, should I still clean or will be reduce plate live from acid wash?

Do not use acid unless you really must. It does reduce the lifespan.

Thanks, what’s what I wanted to know because it looked clean on the inside when I look at the plates so I will just hose it down and store inside for winter.
