Hi all. We have a Hayward S3 SWG. last year a storm knocked out our power and when it came back on we could not get the SWG working again. The main board was replaced under warranty. Well 2 days ago our power flickered (first time since we opened this year) and today I discovered the SWG again is not working. We have electricity and the pump (not connected) is working fine. When we opened up the SWG it appears the board is burnt this time. Anybody have any idea why this might keeping happening?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I don’t understand why just the SWG is being affected by these events and not anything else on that circuit or anything on the house. Short of killing the power everytime there is the potential for a storm, what can we do? Are SWG that fragile? We live in a rural area and it is not unusual to have a power flicker even in good weather. I am concerned about replacing with another unit and having this happen again.
