Hayward Prologic PL-P-4 Upgrade

New to the forum and thought I would check with you all to see what my options are.

Goal: Operate and monitor pool from iPhone/iPad

The P-4 is older but not sure how old. Here is what I have:

Main Software Revision: 2.87
Display Software Revision: 3.12
RF Base Software: r3.00

I think my solution is the Hayward AquaConnect. Problem is I believe you need Main Software of 4.2 and I need the AQL2-BASE-RF but not sure if that’s what I have or the older AQL-Base-RF.

Question: Can I update the firmware somehow or do I have to get a new controller and BASE before I can use AquaConnect?

Or is there a better solution here that I am not aware?

Welcome to TFP.

The long term solution would be to upgrade your system to the OmniPL that includes built in networking and an improved app.

Omni PL Upgrade Kit Hayward Automation

I've looked and searched, and cannot find anything on this. So I'm using Hayward ProLogic with AquaConnect. Look....this app "works" to a degree. It's pretty painful and plain, but it "works". I saw this video when looking at Hayward Automation, and this is talking about Omni PL Upgrade...
