So our laminar jets got clogged and appeared to be off, but they later turned on (when we were inside) and spilled water onto our pool cover so slowly that it was not obvious when looking out from inside on the 2nd floor...fortunately our next door neighbor called and told us so we could shut the jets off (in-app) before they broke anything.
Our pool opener gave us a checklist to run water through the jets (listed at the end of this post) to help clear out the laminar lines. Additionally, we know how to clean the garden hose area filters of build-up. It's gross.
Since we do not have an auto-cover closed sensor, is there a way to set up the OmniLogic app rules - If This Than That (IFFT), such that if the pump is not operating or operating on a certain rpm, to not let the laminar jets turn on? Or do we just have to be more disciplined and remember to do a "pool shutdown checklist" and turn everything off and put the cover pump back on? This also would have saved the day, only draining the pool water level down to the skimmers (since we have no floor drain).
I have configured our 3 Return Line T-handles for optimum laminar jet streams (to look nice when illuminated at night), but only at certain rpms. Too low an rpm will actually dump water on our coping.
I know there are a few ways to tackle this problem. Suggestions welcome.
Our pool builder did not recommend (and therefore we did not install) an auto-cover closed sensor because he said that if we rely on that, it can fail, and we'd be in this same position. Unfortunately, that system would have saved us yesterday!
Fortunately, there was no lasting damage to the pool cover. That thing is strong!
Maybe we need a drinking straw-like brush (sized for the laminar garden hose lines)?

Builder Proposed Clean out procedure:
Opening
Don’t initially connect laminar jet assemblies yet, but turn on laminar pipes and let water run through the blue hoses to get crud out
Periodic Cleaning (we may need to do this now)
Disconnect blue hoses from all laminar jet assemblies
Set laminar jet assemblies aside
Run pump and turn on laminar jet valves to send water through the lines to clear them out
Add more water to the pool as needed
Preventative
Turn on super chlorinate and run laminars for 1 hour, 2 times a week
Closing
Blow out all lines, including laminar jet lines (part of normal winterization)
