Hayward Omnilogic Comm error

Hi,

I have a Hayward Tristar 3202VSP connected to an Omnilogic controller. Periodically, I will get this error message: "EcoStar Comm Loss-HNA:3 NODEID:25" It doesn't seem to affect the operation of the pump, but I'd like to know what causes it and resolve if possible. After a day or two, it seems to self resolve. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
David

Just had a similar situation myself. I suspect a power failure caused the error but for some reason it didn’t clear. Comm failures are supposed to auto clear (you can’t manually acknowledge them). It is a weird one as the system is actually working, the comm error was erroneous. I am also running the latest Jan 2018 firmware.

I solved mine by simply using the “turn off” feature from the keypad totally shut down the Omnilogic, then power cycled the pump and ensured it was rebooted, then restarted Omnilogic.

That cleared my error and it hasn’t come back.

Cheers
Tim

P.S. I’ve began to acquire so much knowledge on this system I should see if I can get a Hayward certification class to help people up here lol.

Thanks for the info. I'm running the latest firmware as well. It seems like we may have had a power outage when it started this time, and has not auto cleared. I will try the turn off Omnilogic and power cycle the pump and see if that clears it.

David

Did this fix it for you? I have this same issue and cycling doesn't seem to clear it. System work fine..
