Hayward OmniLogic app/web not talking to main equipment.

Hey all, just upgraded my Aquarite S3 to the Omni option in order to use automation for its features. I got Hayward LED lights, a Tristar VSP 950 pump and Hayward EasyTemp heat pump.
Everything works fine when I use the main panel outside, but if I want to use the app or the web interface I get completely ignored. The app and web will always show an old setting from yesterday, no matter what settings I change on the main panel:

Filter Pump 80%.
Heat pump current temp 83 deg, target temp 85 deg.
Lights OFF

It doesnt matter if I change the settings on the app or on the website, they will go back to the values above, like its not communicating with the main equipment at all. If I change them on the main panel outside then they will work fine.

I've change my wifi network just to make sure that wasnt it. I can get from 50% to 70% signal strength on any of my networks from the main panel outside. The diagnostics of the wifi network always comes out satisfactory with green checkmarks. I restarted my router a couple of times. I also cut the power completely to everything at the brakers, no luck

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

OMNI APP has been behaving strangely the last few days.

I would give it a few days to see if Hayward fixes it or call Hayward Support.

OmniPL doing odd things (again)

we used the spa a couple days ago - no problems. today, the OmniLogic App will not stay in "SPA" mode. Keeps reverting to Pool - IN THE APP. But, the Spa valves have turned and the gas heater is working - even though the app is reporting the system in POOL mode. I cycled power to the...

OmniLogic will not hold set temperature

I have set my heater on OmniLogic to 97 via the app. A few seconds later, it reverts to 80 on the app. I’ve done this several times. Any idea why?

I am having the same issue with my Omni. Started last night. I've reset and rebooted everything and no luck.

Thanks @ajw22, at least I know I'm not the only one, lol. I installed the system on Friday, so I thought something was definitely set wrong or something,


I guess I'll call Hayward tomorrow morning just to make it official and see when they expect to fix it.

Are you getting the red banner on the app: about not communicating, no signal, or no connection? I found that setting the network to dynamic gave the PL plenty of opportunity to drop the signal at random times and the app couldn't do anything. To rectify this, on my wifi router, I had to reserve a specific address for the Omni PL and then enable a static rather than dynamic setting while in the network settings of Omni PL configuration and it's been stable since.
