Hayward keypad error 40

When trying to adjust the run time of the pump, the screen got stuck and now it is showing keypad error 40. Any advise regarding how to remove the error will be appreciated. Thanks

What model number pump?

Is the pump connected to any automation?

Press the Menu button until the Diagnostic screen appears. Then, press the “>” and record the information that displays on each press of the > button. When you get to the Event Log, press the “+” button to view the last 20 error or trip conditions.

Then, turn off the breaker for 20 minutes, then restore power and see if the error goes away.
