Hayward k-flo - what's going on here?

How guys!

Having a bit of trouble working this pump after opening it to clean a gasket. It works but the upper piece with the "fin" (first pic) does not rotate when the power is on. What am I missing? Tried many times but it does not pump water!

Welcome to TFP.

Remove the impeller and see if the shaft is sheared.

Thank you so much for your reply, meanwhile I found out it needed water water inside to work correctly! Duh. Still need to replace seals though. Admin sorry, you can erase the topic. And thanks again!
