Hayward Heat Pump reads 135 degrees

Hello TFP Community - glad to have found you!
Just opened my pool this week. My Hayward Heat Pump reads 135 degrees (actual water temp is 58). I would assume that I have a faulty Temperature Sensor.

I have an inground 12x20' salt water pool - approx 10K gallon...

Before I order parts - does anybody have any experience with this Model HP20854T? I look forward to some advice.

Certainly sounds like a bad temp probe when they go bad the tend to read either way high or way low.

Here's what the Hayward Install guide and troubleshooting says:

SH Temperature sensor Failure Call for service.
OP Temperature sensor Failure Call for service.

Thanks for your comments. I have ordered the part from Hayward and will let you know if that was the issue after it's installed!

The part finally arrived and I have disconnected the power and attempted to take the front panel off. It is fairly tight with all wires still connected and does not look as easy as once thought.

I am looking for some advise on how to proceed. I don't even know where to start with replacing this part. Help...

Yippee!!! It was much easier than anticipated. The job is done and the Heat Pump is working!!!
