Hayward Heat Pump Issue

I was putting the cover on my Hayward heat pump yesterday and managed to put a screw into the copper piping that holds the refrigerant. I ended up losing the refrigerant and now have a small hole in the copper piping.
I'm willing to pay someone to fix it but I'm having trouble finding anyone who is willing to take a look at it. I called a few HVAC places that said they don't look at pool heat pumps. I've also called a few pool places who say that they don't work on this type of pool heater.

Any recommendations on who I might be able to contact to look at my issue? I'm located in the Minneapolis area.

You have three challenges in repairing your heat pump.

First, you need to repair the hole. You can try and find a radiator shop who repairs copper car radiators and either get the HP to them or have a guy come out to you. Or you can learn to solder...

Second, you should pressure test the fix which will require a nitrogen tank and gauges.

Third, you need to find someone with an EPA 680 certification who has the equipment to evacuate and then fill the HP with R410A. Probably best to look for a small shop or independent guy.

Many folks have discovered that they have orphan heat pumps with no one locally who will repair them. That is why I always recommend to check who locally will service a HP before you buy it. Many pool companies will sell the HP's and buyers assume the pool company can service them when they do not.

I managed to find an HVAC company that does work on pool heat pumps and they are coming out on Thursday to take a look. Hopefully they will be able to solder it and refill. This one is beyond what I want to try and do myself and my question was more around how can I find someone who would be willing to look at it. I even contacted Hayward and the 2 places they referred me to said they don't do work on Hayward pool heaters :)
