“LO” Error Code means Limit Open.

The Version 13 ignition control features revised logic for the “LO” error code.

The “LO” error code indicates that the contacts on one or more of the switches in the limit string are open.

The limit string contains the temperature limit switches (2), the vent pressure switch, and the water pressure switch. If the limit string opens the error code “LO” will be displayed.

There aretwo types of “LO” error (note there is no differentiation between the types on the display):

How do I fix this?

It might be as simple as making sure that the water flow is good.

How much water flow do you have?

How much experience do you have working with electricity and gas appliances?

How old is the heater?

When is the last time that it worked correctly?

Do you have pictures of the system?

“Igniter Open” Inspect Igniter wiring, ensure Igniter plug is securely attached to the ICB.

Verify Igniter ohm resistance ( 8-25 ohms between 20°- 140° F).

IO is probably correct.
