My pool heater is about 8 years old. Has always worked as expected. However, yesterday I tried turning on the heater and it would do nothing. I have "bo" as the status on the heater front panel and when reset the heater (I turn off the breaker switch and turn it back) on I can hear the modules inside clicking for a moment (assume that indicates the system is resetting). But, when I put the heater in spa mode via the remote, my valves realign to the spa, but the blower never turns on and I never hear the gas turn on or the pilot igniting. Would one of the fuzes inside be causing this? I have the pre-Nov 2010 model with the four slow-blo fuses.

I found the troubleshooting guide from Hayward (here) but I don't see anything outlining my issue of the blower not starting. The blower motor never starts, which I am thinking that is the main problem. Like I wrote above, there are no error codes. Just "bo" on the heater display panel.

Thanks for any thoughts/help in resolving this.

I’m not familiar with Hayward, looks like you have a bypass open and no call for heat. I would suspect low voltage from your controller to heater. Make sure desired temp is above current temp and heater is your heat source in settings otherwise it won’t call for heat. Next would be check the low voltage line.
