hayward h100ID heater thermostat replacement

Does anyone know how to remove and replace the copper bulb end of the thermostat on a hayward h100ID heater? I cannot figure out how to remove the old one. Thanks Alot

I was able to remove the old bulb with a little help from my old friend WD-40. Hope this helps someone else.
