Hi

I am interested in reducing my electric costs using my vsp by having it run 24 hours a day on a low rpm speed for filtration and only running at higher rpm when I am heating. My question is will the aquacal super quiet heat pump automatically detect when the flow rate is low and shut off the heating without damage or going into an error mode and same for detecting the higher rate and turning on?

thanks

I have an aquacal heat pump with a pentair vsp. The heater seems to like to see at least 1100rpm from the pump. I have my pump set to run 12 hrs at 1200 rpms. When the pump is off the heater shows lo flow on the display and shuts down to protect itself. When the heater again sees sufficient flow it automatically kicks on again.
