Hayward C5030 vs C7030

I'm replacing an old Hayward C5000.

I'm considering either the C5030 or the C7030.

On the Wiki, TFP says "You should get the largest filter you can afford and that will fit onto your equipment pad. "

But a couple of local vendors told me that for our size of pool (around 25k gallons), the C5030 is more than enough.

Should I insist on the C7030?

the bigger filter allows you to go longer between cleaning... that is the only reason... I clean my filters once a year..

If your 5000 is lasting a year without cleaning now then you should be good with the 5030 if not get the bigger one

if I get a 7030, might I be able to go to once every 2 years? Or is that problematic?

I would say once a year is good
