My pool was pretty green last week and I’ve since taken care of the algae problem and got my chlorine levels good. The water is still very cloudy. I’ve been backwashing my filter a bunch over the last few days to the point that I had to add more water and I feel like the view glass always has some residual stuff in it. Is this just a filter issue or is the chemistry off?

He GV. !!! Perform a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. It will let you know if you have an algae bloom about to explode, or a pollen problem.

if you fail the OCLT, then you’ll need to SLAM Process
If you pass then you’ll just have to keep letting the filter do it’s thing and backwash it as needed.

You only need 7.5 FC. I had 35k gallons and a gallon was 4 FC. It sounds about right. Plus the App is WAY smarter than me. So I’ll just agree with it because. :ROFLMAO:

If your water tests come back in range otherwise, then it’s just a pollen issue and it will take a week or 2 for the filter to do its thing. Backwash anytime the PSI rises 25% and wait it out. (y)
