I am getting my taylor drop kit on Friday, so I know that the test strips are a educated guess at best. My CH registers 500 to 1000 this morning(so accurate). I tested my tap water, I am using a pre-filter, and that CH is 100.
Tap Water:
FC: 0
TA: 40
pH: 8.4
CH: 100
I'm using a Saltron Mini, and am in the process of figuring out the best time, 4 hours currently. FC is all over the place, but I'm not going to worry until I can get some accurate measurements. This is my second fill, and both times CH has been steadily creeping up all the time. Any ideas?
PS: I have been reading here and watching the TA pH lecture. Have the "How do I use Chlorine..." post open and reference it often.
