Well, I still think it has a little tinge of ugly because of the above deck mounts..
That said, the advantage of the above deck mounts is that it keeps the end of the rail out of the water. If this were mounted in the deck, the end of the rail would be touching the water. I like it the way it is.
I did replace the mounting bolts with larger ones, but not sure that made any real difference.
If you don't have a lot of grey, get a taupe rail from Saftron, it blends with most pool installations, even ones with concrete decks. Amazon is the best. I pay the same as at one of my suppliers, but the free shipping on most is a lot better than the shipping cost to CA through them, $75-$100 depending on size.
