Hairline crack around entrance of Pressure gauge

There was a drop of water constantly falling from the gauge entrance into the filter head. I unscrewed it and added teflon tape. I also noticed that it looked like the previous gauge was screwed in too much and the nut portion at the top of the thread has "dug into" the hole some. Upon close inspection , I noticed a hairline crack in the top portion of the mouth of the gage whole in the filter head. The pool shop sold me bonding putty - didn’t work. I then applied epoxy glue for plastic. That also did not work. Now Instead of a steady drop i now have a jet of water. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the crack?

The only "fix" is a valve replacement, sorry. And yes, the whole valve new is less than just the body.
