Here’s a question you probably don’t often get. My landscaper just spread a mixture of lime and gypsum around the pool and some of it ended up in the water.

I’m guessing the major impact would be on CH. I’ve vacuumed up what I could and am now waiting for a little time to pass before I test the water.

Gypsum (CaSO4) has moderate solubility. It is the white dust in drywall (Sheetrock). Common lime materials are usually calcitic lime [CaCO3] or dolomitic lime [CaMg(C03)2]. Carbonate forms of lime are not very soluble at neutral pH. However at an acidic pH there is increased solubility. If vacuumed up and the filter is backwashed, there should not be significant effects other that increasing CH as you have already pointed out.
