Hello. I have a Gulfstream heat pump HE110RA. The water temperature sensor was replaced and I cannot get the sensor and the true water temperature to match. the LCD reading on the unit is off by 20 degrees F. Floating thermometers in the pool and the spa match the temperature reported on the salt control box and they also match a test with an instant read thermometer. However, the LCD screen on the heater reports 20 degrees lower. I can bump up the water calibration sub menu up 10 degrees making it the LCD reading ten degrees less, but no more. I live near the factory and bought the new temp sensor from them, so I assume it's the right part. It fits and functions OK otherwise.
What does the "Evap Calibration – Calibrates the Evap Sensor +/- 10 degrees" submenu item do? I cannot find details on that and don't want to mess with it for fear of causing damage. All other settings are at default.
The heater heats fine, I should leave it alone, but it's nagging at me. Appreciate any advice.
