Hello TFP community. I wish I found this site a year ago.
I'm a the new owner of an old pool and have been bumbling along trying to keep it blue.
My wife has insisted I need a pool service since we moved in, so I cannot let her know I am asking for help here

The very first thing you need is a test kit. A TF-100 (link in my signature) or a K-2006C. You can get more details at Test Kits Compared.
