Hey everyone!

We purchased a house in March 2020 that came with a 20x40 (30,000 Gallon) pool. I have never had a pool before, and last year was pretty easy (I really dont know why). This year has been a nightmare. I have spent roughly $1500 in pool chemicals only to keep spending to fight the GREEN SWAMP. i know its because im ignorant towards pool maintenance, and need as much help as i can get. Im glad I found this forum! Hopefully you guys can steer me in the right direction.

Yes you have found the source for all the free information and assistance you need to understand pool maintenance and water chemistry. Invest in a quality test kit and learn to use it. Do not trust "free" pool water tests from pool stores. Welcome.

Oly, Can you point me in the right direction of what a good test kit looks like? I don't know where to begin. All I have is those test strips lol
