Hi all!
We have had a pool for years but only recently one that is saltwater. Today it turned a not so marvelous shade of green. Pressure is good, reading for salt at 3000. Thinking I’ll clean out the filter. Any thoughts on what else to do? In our old chlorine pool, I would have shocked it.

Welcome to the forum!
A saltwater pool is a chlorine pool. The SWCG is just making your chlorine.
Do you have test results you can post? Is it cloudy green or clear green water?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Pool School eBook.

Thank you. It is a clear green. Not cloudy at all. I will test it when I get home from dinner. Thank you

Test strips are rough on numbers. They aren’t always accurate and don’t go to the levels we sometimes see people need to reach for FC. Pool stores aren’t always better. We would advise getting a drop test kit with a FAS-DPD chlorine test, like a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006c (note, the c is important or you don’t get enough of the reagents).

However, since metals are a concern, you could take some water to a pool store and have them test for metals. We usually go with pool store numbers for metal levels.
