We came home from vacation and pool water was green. New to TFP, I tested FC = 2.5 and CYA = 40. Performed a shock with 4 gallon of 10% liquid chlorine on Saturday to raise FC to 12. No change. Ran SWG at sanitizer boost for 8 hours, no change. TF100 kit arrived yesterday, barely registered FC levels. Think I need to SLAM to higher FC to 16 and also worry that salt generator is not working properly. Inspected the cell a week ago and did not see any deposits.

Welcome! If it's green from algae, then yes, you need to start the SLAM Process. With a CYA of 40, your SLAM FC level is "16", so try to maintain that with liquid chlorine while following all of the details on the SLAM page. Leave the SWG off for now. It's not designed to combat algae. Hope that helps.

Thanks. After doing the SLAM last weekend, why is my FC near zero today? Worried that salt generator is not working which caused the algae. Feel I need to solve the algae first.
