Congrats... I would call that complete... let the fc drift down to normal, turn the swg back on and experiment with the amount of chlorine it generates to keep your fc in check... add enuf cya to get to 70ish and enjoy that tfp pool..
Yippee and a huge thanks.
I really had a hard time believing it would work. I'm a believer now.
I'm planning on keeping fc at 5 and cya at 70.
Have a great weekend. You put many smiles on my family members faces. Really appreciate it.
Quick question on CYA level.
Can I test CYA alone before adding stabilizer or must I perform a test on fc and everything else too to be able to do the pool math to determine how much cya to add?
Yes, its crystal clear now - just concerned about FC loss so I will test today - topped up water level so will let it circulate for an hour first.
do you turn off pump and filter at night? whats the best approach?
Once you are tfp you can run your pump whenever you need to. Just make sure it turns over the capacity once a day... so 3000 gph pump will turn over 12000 gallons in 4 hours or so... run it for a 4-5 a day total and you'll be good.. keep an eye on the fc
