Green pool for over a weeks

While on vacation a storm tripped our pool pump and we came home to a green pool. I had been using the pool math app to shock the pool with 10% bleach but its not working. I have been backwashing the sand filter and brushing.Then I tries the Clorox shock extra blue and its still green. I'm to the point of draining the pool for the season. Is there anything i'm overlooking?

You need to SLAM Process. Read through the article.

You should lower your pH to 7.2 with muriatic acid. Once that is done, raise your FC to 20 ppm using liquid chlorine. Test your FC every couple hours and raise your FC back to 20 ppm.

Brush and vacuum the pool daily.

Use a 10 ml water sample to test FC. Each drop to clear will be 0.5 ppm FC.
