Green Algae On Ladder

Hi Guys,

Quick question, I was away last week and when I got home today I noticed the filter was off and I had a little bit of green algae growing on my ladder. I am guessing the filter has been off for about 4 days since it sometimes trips after a heavy storm/power loss. The water is crystal clear otherwise and I was able to brush off the algae no problem. Do you I need to SLAM or do you think I would be OK with just making sure levels are right going forward and running the filter for 24 hours kind of thing?

Slam is prescribed if you have visible algae...

Worst case, get the ladder out and clean it, and do an OCLT...Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

Do you have a proper test kit that is required to SLAM? I didn’t see it in your signature, just wanting to make sure you have the tools.
