Tree Pollen? Its about that time of year your way, isn't it?
Put a skimmer sock in your skimmer basket to catch it and that will save your filter from the schmutz. Alternatively if you don't have a true skimmer sock, try hosier legs or those disposable hair nets you can get on that "A" website. They work a charm!

I have had the pool for nearly 4 years...first time I've seen this stuff.
