I have lived in St Thomas for 15 yrs and have had a working pool at our house for 12 of those.
Pool was originally finished with pebble tech that was not properly applied. Spent better part of a year shoveling, demolition hammering and grinding that off along with the pool paint to get a fresh concrete service. Had a friend (DiamondBrite certified 15yrs) from Louisiana come down and apply DiamondBrite, new Hayward Blue Essence SWG and variable speed pump in July 2017. Irma hit in September 5th and spent a 2 weeks getting leaves out before Maria hit on September 19th. Spent another 2 weeks getting leaves out along with 100% chlorine production, baking soda, Muriatic acid and the pool was open for business.
Been having problems with the Blue Essence SWG for about 3 years. Works ok then gives me low salt(300ppm) won't produce. Swapped mother board out, worked ok and now it's low salting again. I test with Taylor K-1005 for weekly and use Taylor K-1766 for salt.
Will post in Forums asking for help on the Hayward Blue Essence SWG once I get all my numbers and pictures.
