In November 2019, I replaced my original pump with a 'Pentair Whisperflo Energy Efficient 2 HP Full Rate'. Just recently, the pump whines very loudly, was just outside of warranty, and vendor/seller suggested a failed seal & that I should use one of their seal kits. Have since bought a GOKIT32SALT. Has anyone had any lucking paying a pool person/vendor/contractor to do the makeover with the kit? I ask because the most recent pool person I used indicated that he doesn't do repairs like this with seals, as they're rarely successful. I'm in Canton, Georgia if anyone is interested/willing. That kit is really easy to do but it will not fix what is happening with your pump.. You bearings are going out and need replaced and that is a whole other thing from the seals..

If you don’t feel confident enough to do it yourself then take it to any local electrical or pump repair shop.
