Going on vacation, question about SWG %

Hi folks! I've managed to have a truly trouble-free first pool season thanks to all of the great info and help here and I'd like to keep it that way while on vacation. I'll be gone for 7 days and won't have anyone coming by to check on things. No rain in the forecast until the day before/day off our return home, so I don't think water level will be an issue as we have it maxed out right now (above middle of skimmer) and it's not gonna be scorching hot.

My question is around what level to set my SWG at. I'd like to put it higher than I'd keep it normally since it won't be getting cleaned for 7 days in a row. It's been holding steady at 15% for about the past two weeks and I'm thinking of turning it up to 25 or 30% when we leave. Any thoughts on that?

Levels as of today:
FC: 6.0 (I like to keep it at 8-9 so have already turned up to 20%)
CC: 0.5
pH: 7.6
TA: 60 (added some baking soda to bring up to 70)
CYA: 60 (added CYA to bring up to 70)
Salt: 3,000

Not an awful ideal. Go for it. The sun will take care of much of it. Come home to a sparkling pool. Dont forget to follow the CYA chart for CYA of 70.

I also like to throw 4 pucks in a floater as insurance.

Also check your salt level before you go. If it close to minimum add some salt. I have had 10 inches of rain happen while I was away and went to a low salt situation. (Another reason I do the puck insurance).

If you run your pump 24/7, your SWCG will produce the following FC per day:

20% - 2.1 FC
25% - 2.6 FC
30% - 3.1 FC
40% - 4.1 FC
50 % - 5.2 FC

My vote is 40 or 50% and I'm shocked you were able to keep it under 20% before now as most pools lose 3-5 FC per day. Also keep in mind that you have lots of room in your FC before you hit SLAM level of 31 so you would have to WAY overshoot to get there in a week. Set it higher and enjoy your vacation!

I've also been very surprised I could keep it so low! Appreciate you breaking it down like this for me. I do run my pump 24 hours every day and am definitely open to bumping the SWG % a bit higher.

Edit: SWCG hasn't been set higher than 25% for the entire summer aside from when I bumped it up for a pool party, as far as I recall.
