Hi All like the titles says i currently have a hayward max flo II pump with a 1 hpx 1.25 sf motor (so a 1.25hp). I have about a 15k pool with an IC40 SWC system. The pool pump and SWC are controlled by a mechanical intermatic timer with a panel on the wall. I have put in the SWC myself and have replaced my motor before to the same max flo II motor (i was new to pools so just stuck with what was there).
My motor is starting to go so i was thinking of this INYO variable speed century replacement motor. Its only $389 and has more HP than i have already. Why would I not want to go this route? I know centry motors are good so why would i want to get an entirely new pump for ~850 bucks like a pentair? I currently just set the timer and forget it, i dont see any need for automation, thats why i have a start stop times and from what i can tell the pumps onboard timer will controll the variable speed part........
What else should I be considering here? Would this be a good replacement? Another was one of those chinease pure pulse pumps that inyo sells.
