IMG_7068.jpegHi all I need your help please.
I have an in-ground vinyl lined pool with three globrite lights.
I need to replace two. I decided to go to microlites. I purchased the lights and adapters which is what I understood were needed to install. I realized when attempting to remove the first one that there is a wall plate around each one and a slight mound;that is they are not flush. Photo attached.
Am I right in thinking these plates need to be removed and replaced with ones that are compatible with the microlites or can I just use these? I thought I was all set with install. Of course I didn’t get the tool to remove the globrites either! Duh…the microlites have a different one which came with the lights which are different.

Hi all. I am attempting to install microlite where a globrite died.
I added the adapter thinking I was good to go.
Not so sure..
See photo. Will the new one go inside this casing? I am thinking it’s too small to fit in here.
Pool is concrete walled vinyl lined.
Thanks!

Have you reviewed pages 9-11 in the Globrite Installation Manual -

The plates and mound are part of the Globrite vinyl light niche.

Hi I wonder if you can help me regarding the switch to a Microbrite LED to replace a dead IMG_7068.jpegGlobrite.
I purchased the light and the adapter. I have an inground Vinyl lined pool.
When I look at the Globrite, in-place photo attached, it appears to me that since the diameter of the lights are different, the microlite being far smaller, that the new light will not sit flush in the niche. Will it be then be recessed? Will it be watertight? I thought the adapter was the solution but the adapter doesn't expand the Diameter of the Microlite.
I was all ready to go with install when I noticed this so I ceased operations:)
Any help is appreciated as Pentair were clueless and I am still waiting for them to get back to me.

Yes thank you for your kind response. The globrite was existing when I bought the house so no manual.
That unfortunately does not answer my question. Will the microbrite fit and since it’s smaller in diameter does that mean the light will fit it looks to me it will not fill the hole and allow water intrusion ( I do have the adapter on the light)
Thanks!

The nicheless lights always have water in the conduit. They are not water tight. As long as you have the adapter, all is good.
