Hello everyone,
I tried for the first time the Taylor 7way pool test strips today. I am quite disappointed, the pads come out very uneven in colour for the pH, free chlorine, alkalinity and cyanuriez acid. I tried 4 different strips, tried to dip a little more than 2 seconds, it always comes out uneven to the point that I don’t know which colour I should take into account. I took pictures but I’m not sure it illustrates well the unevenness. Did anyone else have this experience with those strips? Thanks in advance for the comments!

I am quite disappointed
That is the consensus for all test strips. They just aren't accurate enough. You need to look at vendors in your area that support the Taylor K-2006C test kit. Is you have access down south, the TF-100 (link in my signature).

Thanks so much for your response, I’ll definitely look into those kits! I use the exact EZ pool photometer weekly (does anyone have comments about this system by the way?) because I don’t trust my eyes for colour changes, and was looking for a quick way to check daily in between my weekend tests. Oh well, there is no such things as quick easy and accurate, I should know that! :)
