Hello! I recently converted my pool to SWG. I had a Nature2 system on my old setup. With my SWG, I no longer will be using it. Anyway - not looking for anything, but if anyone wants it - just cover the shipping and I will send it to you. It is about 3 years old. In full disclosure, TFP does not recommend using Nature2 because it introduces slight traces of copper to the pool. The feeling being that if the copper leaks into the pool at greater numbers, it could cause etching, staining, etc. All I can tell you is that in the 3 years I used it, I never had any issues with it - but of course - that is to each persons comfort level. Please ping me if you would like it.

Thanks!

We don't deal in "feels" here. Copper doesn't "leak" in to the pool, it is intentionally introduced as an algaecide. And at a certain level it does indeed cause staining. That's factual, not a "feeling". It does not cause pool surfaces to etch though, not sure where you got that from.

Anybody reading this and considering installing this junk on their pool, read around the site for the trouble that copper staining causes. A pool managed as instructed on TFP does not need metals in the water to prevent algae.

Calm down. I am simply offering it to anyone that wants it. As I noted in my previous post, the system is not recommended by TFP. My own personal experience is that I never had any issues with copper levels in the pool. Doesn't mean that someone won't or hasn't - just that this is my experience. I have no hidden motive here. I am not charging for the system - I am simply just trying to offer it to anyone that wants it.

Maybe offer it in FB marketplace? A warning like you gave, something like “I’m not using anymore bc it adds copper to the water, which can cause staining” would be appropriate. Some ppl are going to use it. If I were trying to pass it on, a simple warning would ease my conscience, just like you gave. (Unless of course it was dangerous, lethal, etc. then no passing on.)

Agreed - ultimately - I will probably just throw it away. I was thinking that there may be someone on this board who uses it and would like a spare for the parts.... It seems like I opened up a can of worms by even offering it up. I actually didn't get rid of it because of any issues with the system. When I went to SWG - I didn't really need it since it was also the chlorine dispenser. I guess I could have kept it attached, but just figured to take it off to reduce one more piece of equipment that can break!
