So we just got our pool setup and filled 2 weeks ago (city water). Pump and sand filter are new and have been running for a week. Water is still clear at this time.
Skimming daily and vac the bottom after I got the new pump and filter set up. Currently running the pump about 8 hours a day.
We have been using the large chlorine tabs and randomly adding shock that we had from last year and the chlorine levels were always showing 1 or less.
I was testing using the strips until the Taylor k2006 test kit arrived yesterday.

Here are the results
Water Temp 83
PH 7.8
TA 130
FC 1.5
CC .5
CYA 0

I picked up a 1.75 lb bag of CYA and put in a sock and dissolved it this evening. I have liquid bleach to add as well.

Besides waiting for the CYA levels to rise, what else should I do?

Thank you,

Looks good. Great decision to get a quality test kit.
The CYA you have added will get you to ~30 ppm. So maintain your FC in target range for that CYA using FC/CYA Levels
