Getting shocked in pool

Long story short, bought a house with a pool, put in a salt chlorinator and started getting shocked while in the pool and touching the railing. Ripped up the concrete, bonding wire is there, cant tell if it was in tact/working prior to doing so. Pool is 25 years old. Pool Electrician said they can put in a new wire and test it but theres a chance there is a stary current in the ground. They can put in a new bond and still have the same issue getting nuisance voltage. Power company said it wasnt coming from them. Any advice would be great-I want to use my pool but cant have my kids/people in there even with nuisance voltage for safety. Ty

You said "put in a salt chlorinator and started getting shocked". Have you tried disconnecting the sWG?

What SWG was put in?

Were you using the pool without getting shocked before the SWG was installed?

We just moved into the house and added the salt chlorinator-I just wanted to add some context as to why the last owner may not have felt the shocks. We never used the pool before it was added. we've cut the power to the house/pool/equipment and the current is not from us for sure. We just ripped up the concrete and there (was) a bonding wire there...We're having an electrician come and attempt to connect to do a new bond. He said theres a 50/50 shot that even with a new wire, theres just stray voltage in the ground and we'll still get a nuisance voltage reading

Please, lets stay in touch. I have the same issue...shock while wet, sitting on edge of concrete and put hand or foot in pool. Mostly felt by little kids, I really cant feel it. This is the second go round for us with this. Back in 2017 because they said maybe stray electricity try ripping it all out and put in a new bond. We did. August 6 of this year the exact same thing happened. vinyl liner pool, about 20 years old, we also have salt water. Power company came out: these are their readings Pool Pump Remote ground 20 ft from customer's meter voltage readings showed 1 volt. They say that is fine. They said their results suggest a break in the bonding network which fails to extablish n ed Hired an electrical contracting comany ($1,300.00). They did a four hr investigation. This is their findings

Readings pump to pump pad all on the 2 ohm range. 5 volts ac+/- from water to concrete pool deck. With service shut down .4 amps on neutral conductor.
Removed water bond, ground rod connections and CATV ground. problem same. Removed grounding conductors from bonding sysem and the voltage around the pool went away. Conclusion: No current should be measured on the grounded conductor (neutral) with the power removed from the premises. Recommend tell the utility copany of these finds. And......consider equipotential grid install around perimiter of pool. So...back to square one. I think it's the utility company. I haven't heard from them with these latest findings. Have started to get estimates to rip it out again (ugh). What other choice it there and yes, no guaranty it will solve the problem. Please, stay in touch. So far, everyone it speak to believes it could be that power at the Neutral conductor.

Will do, we pretty much tested everything and just ripped up the cement. Pretty sure it’s gotta be the bond wire bc the ohms were in the millions. Most things I’ve read said if the bond was in tact, it’s likely the neutral. If I were you, you may want to have an attorney send a letter to your power company. Gotta be something on their end
