We appear to have some brown/orange algae. From searching and reading prior posts, the best course of action is SLAM. Just did a full Pool Math test.

FC - 7.0
pH - 7.5
TA - 110
CH - 725 (I think this is simply due to the fact we have such hard water here in San Antonio, but it's been as low as 575)
CYA - 20

With CYA this low, it should help the economics of our SLAM.

Please critique/add to my plan to get rid of the brownish/orangish areas. We scrubbed some while in the hot tub last night and it did help, but it's still there. Pics to come.

I would add 10ppm of stabilizer to get your CYA around 30 for the chlorine to last in the Texas sun.

Then SLAM away.
