Getting "Power outage alarm on pump 1" and "lost communication on pump 1" alerts on my iPhone app for intellitouch system

I have new intellitouch system control for pool and spa with a new pentair intelliflo VSF pump. Getting alerts when pump is not running regarding outage alarm on my pump as well as lost communication on my pump. I have attached how the control is wired. I am thinking that the intellichlor is wired into the same circuit as my pump and it should not be according to older threads on TFP. Please review and give me your input. Thanks. Jim

Welcome to TFP... A great place to learn all about your new pool..

It appears to me the idiot that wired your system wired the power to your IntelliFlo through the pump filter relay.. That is a big NO NO..

He also has constant power going to the SWCG transformer.. Is is absolutely backwards..

I suggest you find someone that has a clue what they are doing.

The pump should get constant AC power and the SWCG transformer should get power only when the Pump/Filter relay is closed..

Pretty hard to miss the warning on the SWCG transformer...

And... I think that you have an EasyTouch and not an IntelliTouch.

Sigh!!

You have all Eaton CB's. Pentair recommends for their VS pumps that a Pentair or Siemans GFCI CB be used since they are less sensitive to false trips. See the recommended Pentair/Siemans CB here --> GFCI Circuit Breakers

A GFCI CB has a test button on the front and a white pigtail wire that connects to the neutral bar.

The 120V CB for your pool light should also be GFCI and it is not.

Is the outlet on the side of the ET panel GFCI?

I drew two blue lines where the yellow and white wires connected to the CB should be connected to the pump relay. And the two red wires connected to the pump relay should be connected to the CB to continuously power the pump.

Check that there is a RS-485 cable connecting the Intelliflo pump with the ET and that there is communication between them.

Note: When connecting the pump to an automation system, continuous power must be supplied to the pump
by connecting it directly to the circuit breaker.

Note: If AC power is supplied by a GFCI circuit breaker, the pump should be wired on its own independent circuit unless the pump is operated in tandem with a Pentair salt chlorine generator.

I take it that you mean that the two red wires on the terminals where the white and yellow wires should be attached as shown by your blue lines should be attached down on the double pole CB where the yellow and white wires are in my picture, correct? Obviously, I am not an electrician but one will be here tomorrow ( Thursday). Hope you see this tonight. Thanks again. Jim

Yes, swap the two sets of wires.
