Getting BBB right?

Started doing BBB this week. I want to make sure I am doing ok with it. Last Saturday got my TF100 and have tested everyday for a week. I know a bit excessive but I want to see what is happening and get a feel for how my pool respond to conditions. It seems the sun eats about 3.5 ppm FC per day so I am adding 3 quarts of 10% LC every evening. Additions were determined using pool math app. Yesterday my PH crept up to 7.8 so I added 2 cups 31.45% MA numbers this evening
FC 5.5 think I need to add a gallon to kick FC up to 10 so after loss it would be 6.5
PH 7.5 after MA addition
CH 225 consistent all week
TA 90 consistent all week
CYA 50 consistent all week.
Just wanting to make sure I am doing this right.

Looks good to me. Just follow the [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]. You are running a bit hot on the FC, not a bad thing, but something that you could adjust if you wish.

BBB has been phased out. We use TFPC now. The issue with BBB was that folks thought they would always need Borax and Baking Soda. But, most people never need to add those!!

Take care.

Looks good, although you don't have to target such a high FC.

The minimum FC for 50 CYA is 4. You lose 3.5 per day. In theory, you can target 7.5 and stay in the good zone. Most of use like a cushion, so target 8 or 8.5. With the lower starting level, you may discover your daily losses go down. You'll know with a few more days of obsessive testing.

As an aside, that obsessive testing is pretty common around here, especially when you get started. People develop sparklypoolitis.
