Hi,
I was getting an error code 123 on my Jandy AquaPure system and ended up replacing the salt cell with a highly recommended non-Jandy cell (info below). I am still getting the 123 error code with the new cell and now the flow seems to be stuck on the “reverse“ option. I only replaced it about an hour ago, so I don’t know if it’s actually producing chlorine or not yet. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I’m attaching photos. Thank you!

SWG: Jandy AquaPure
Replacement Cell: Salt Pool Store Platinum Edition (replacement for AquaPure 1400)

Did you replace the cord to the cell?

That error is low or no current to the cell. First thing to check is the cord. Look for heavy corrosion at both ends. You can sometimes fix it by cleaning off the corrosion.[10]

Also look inside the cell at the cord end. The three pins go inside and connect to the plates. If one of them is rotted away, it's time for a new cell and cord.

Otherwise the back circuit board may need replacement.

Thanks for the reply, but the replacement cell doesn’t have the three pins like the AquaPure 1400 has. It has a hardwired cord, that is brand new.

I was able to easily install the replacement cell. Do you know if replacing the backboard is easy? Thank you!

Hi -
I have a Jandy AquaPure 1400 that is showing code 123. I called Jandy and was told that I likely needed to replace the salt cell, which I did (replaced with Salt Pool Store Platinum Edition, which has a hardwired power cord, so I know that's the not issue). I'm still getting the 123 error. I pulled out the back circuit board and it looks like 2 wires coming from the chlorine transformer generator are burned (see photo), so I'm guessing I need to replace both the generator and the board. It looks like a new generator is approx $350 and I can't even find a back circuit board online (is E0261700 the correct part #?). Every site that I've seen is showing it out of stock.

I've already spent $450 on the new salt cell which cannot be returned. :(

I saw an older post where someone had a similar issue and said they replaced their system with a Circupool RJ60+. I looked up that system and the price looks good (compared to piecing together Jandy replacements), but although I'm pretty handy, I don't know how to replace my existing system with something like this? How would I integrate it with my current system? Can anyone offer any advice or resources to check out?

At this point in the process, I'm weighing whether or not it's worth keeping the pool at all or filling it in. I'm attaching multiple pictures. THANK YOU!

Do you have an Aqualink system your Aquapure system is connected to?

A different SWG can be installed. Takes some electrical work to replace the control box and some PVC work to install a different size cell.
