Hey guys,
So I made my first foray into following the advice here for the (liquid) chemicals to fix my algae issue (see other thread).
Anyway, I went to Home Depot to get muriatic acid. It was in the paint section, but the vexing thing is that there were no percentages anywhere on the label. It was recommended that I use the 32% MA. Is it normal not to be labeled? Are they all usually the same percentage?
While I was at Home Depot I took a look at the bleach and I'm just shocked how expensive plain old Clorox is here in NH... $3.30 / gallon!
But next to it I spied a bottle of HDX (house brand) "Germicidal" bleach so I looked at the label and saw 8.25% Sodium Hypochlorite which it says "Yields 7.86% Free Chlorine".
Clorox also had a Germicidal version but no where near those numbers.
It doesn't look like there are any other additives so am I safe to assume the "germicidal" refers only to its increased strength?
