I have an irregular kidney shaped pool. When I bought a solar cover and Rocky's Reel 5A with concrete anchors, I messed up on reel placement and lived with having a tough time getting the cover on and off for two years. Now that I need to replace the solar cover, I know that I need to leverage the seams in the solar cover to fold back parts of cover to allow reeling it in. But this also requires me to change the anchoring location of the reel roller relative to the pool.
I can find Rocky's part 515 for a pair of concrete anchors on the web for $20 + tax + S&H, but I see that generic concrete anchors are an order of magnitude cheaper. Does anyone know the size and length of the concrete anchors that match? And does the anchor need to be of a specific material to use next to a non-SWCG pool?
