gap behind liner around top of inground?

Hey guys,

Pool builder just finished our pool - wend for first swim yesterday!

Question - is it normal to have a gap behind the liner at the top above the water line? below waterline liner is flat against steel walls - but above - especially as you get nearer to the liner track - you can push on the liner and there is about 1/8"-3/16" air gap behind the liner

hoping this is normal- just checking. Thanks!
