This is a very complex subject at this level and 99.85 per cent of our members really don't care this much. We have 2-3 threads going on right now that shoot over the heads of most members and stray away from the purpose of TFP.

Certainly continue this thread and you are in the very best of hands with mgtfp. That said we don't want TFP to be a debate stage or veer too far from our purpose......teaching the average pool owner to successfully manage his pool by learning and precision testing.

Yeah, I know... That's why I posted this in The Deep End.... I just get fascinated learning some of this stuff and the knowledge here of some senior members far exceeds mine, so that's how I learn, by asking and trying things. I figured The Deep End is the right place for advanced topics. Maybe certain threads need a FLAG attached to it by the mods for "Advanced Topic - Not for Newbies" or something.

It's sort of a design restriction in the software. The Deep End is the right place but anyone can still visit there and get bogged down with how technical it can get. Someday, I think we can figure out how to better warn folks without scaring them that the Deep End is not the place to learn the ABC's
